Fire-rated penetrations & joints

Fire Caulking

Fire-rated caulking is a certified system, not a product — the seal is only compliant when the substrate, penetration type and installation method match a tested assembly. We identify the correct system for the penetration and FRL required, install strictly to the tested detail, and tag and document every penetration for certification.

Questions

Fire Caulking — common questions

Can you certify the work?

We install to tested systems and provide the installation documentation and penetration register. Final certification is issued by the building certifier or fire safety practitioner on the project.

Why does the system matter more than the product?

A fire rating is achieved by a tested assembly — substrate, penetration, backing and sealant together. Using the right sealant in the wrong configuration does not carry the rating.

What documentation do we get for handover?

A penetration register with location references, plus product data sheets for the systems used. It’s built to slot straight into the project’s compliance file.
